Who are those Mirialans? Their home planet is Mirial.
The Mirialan people were religious and practiced a primitive understanding of the force. They believed each individual's actions contributed to their destiny.  A Mirialan would place a unique, often geometrically repeated tattoo. on their face and hands to signify that they had completed a certain test or task, or achieved sufficient aptitude for a certain skill. The number of tattoos would thus often act as a good indicator of how mature and/or skilled a Mirialan was. Tattooing got a tradition, so families did begin to tattoo their young children often with a mixture of the tattoos of their parents. (Wookiepedia)

Mirialans are a playable race in the game Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Are there some famous mirialans?
While watching Episode I - VI I haven't discovered a mirialan so far. The most famous examples of the species are known from the Clone Wars:
Luminara Unduli

Bariss Offee

My most favourite mirialan picture, using it as SWTOR loading screen!

Lets start featuring:

Many special thanks to the artists who did draw commissions for me!

I had found only one group exclusively for Mirialans so far but of course you'll find them in all other Star Wars related groups as well.
Many thanks to and who are responsible for a huge mass of art showing Mirialans because of their commissions.
Also check out the gallery of who made a lot of fanfictions about Bariss Offee and also hired a lot of artists to capture it in pictures.

I'm addicted to Mirialans! Why? They have a cultural connection to the force. The skin-tones and the graceful tattoos make them somehow very unique, although they have the same body shape as humans.

Many thanks to Bioware & LucasArts (or Disney now) for the SWTOR game.
