Della Doreau was born in a small mirialan settlement full of farmers. At her age of 9 she lost her parents because of a pirate prey hunt and her little sister Doriala got kidnapped after she tried to hide her in a chest. She blames herself for Dorialas fate and thinks her sister got killed by the pirates after they discovered her.
Della had to live as an orphan on the streets of a mirialan city. She took care of herself, stealing food supplies, never asking her kind people to help her. She was emotionally hardened and was already holding blasters in her hands with the age of 12.
Some years later after a lot of training on empty bottles and rat-like creatures she took a heart and visited her home settlement again, trying to remember, to honor her parents and her sister in thoughts. She couldn't believe her eyes, because the same pirates attacked again! Della managed it somehow to fight them back in an incredible fight and finally entered the landed space ship to confront the leader of the pirates. With her very fast reflexes she had no problems to unarm the greedy jerk. Della tried to question him about her sisters fate, but the pirate couldn't remember. Her anger left her no choice but to execute him and so she made her first steps on a spaceship without an owner... with her as brand new owner. Like her sister she's sensitive to the force, but never really realized it. Often she has precognitions during combat what gives her insane reflexes.
She had to learn several weeks how to operate the XS-Freighter but as a fast learner and with her strong will that was no problem at all. She utterly hates pirates and her only goal was to hunt down pirates throughout the whole galaxy for revenge. But soon she had to discover, that this agenda is flawed and started to work as a smuggler for all kind of customers who wanted goods transfered on occupied planets. She often did trick the Empire, so the Republic got aware of her doings and secretly offered her a job as freelancer.
On her missions she invited new crew members, what gave her more flexibility on future missions. Her crew loves her for being a funny and relaxed captain and respects all her decisions. Some of them serve her because Della rescued them, others because of the good amount of credits they get.
Captain Della Doreau has a naughty personality. She always has a rude comment and tries to see everything from a positive side. She is romantically involved with ... oh ... on each planet at least one bed is waiting for her, and she doesn't care about the gender of her partners. Della's dark side always comes to the surface when pirates are involved and often looses her self control. Otherwise she'll keeps friendly to everyone with her naughty style and never harms innocent people.
