Doriala Doreau was born on Mirial and had a nice childhood. Together with her older sister Della she had much fun... until the little settlement was attacked by pirates. The pirates slaughtered their way through innocent mirialan farmers who couldn't really defend themselves. As they reached the house of the Doreaus, the parents begged for mercy, but the both little sisters had to witness their death from a safe distance. Della did hide her younger sister Doriala in a large chest and locked it for her protection and did find another secret spot for herself. Unfortunately the pirates took the chest with them to their ship, assuming something valuable might be inside. This was the last time the sisters did see each other.
Finally on the pirate ship the chest was forced open, and to their surprise a child with much anger and fear was staring at them. They did not kill her, just to sell her as a slave with her age of 7.
Growing up in slavery Doriala found herself sensitive to the force and with great horror she always tried to hide her talents. She heard about force-sensitive slaves being slaughtered on Korriban and didn't want to face the same fate. Years later in self defense with much anger to her master she badly wounded him with a lightning as he was trying to sexually abuse her. So her destiny was sealed, and she was forced to join a group of akolyths fighting each other for survival. Only one of them could call Lord Zash as master at the end.
Doriala managed her way through the empire, getting rid of all the enemies thinking she would be easy prey. She got promoted to a Lord and Darth and finally got a seat at the Sith Council. Somehow she was always acting in self defense, so it's the galaxy's greatest irony that she made such a career. She still remembers her mirialan heritage and always gets angry, when mindlessly talking imperial soldiers and officers are talking bad about aliens. She hates the imperial racism and tries to forge a new empire free of it. So it's no wonder, that she found a very close companion with Ashara, she is even romantically involved to her. Doriala is nasty, she has no problem to walk over dead bodies to reach her goals, but unlike other siths she has a heart for the innocents, and always spares lifes. Before she uses the force, she's always trying to find a diplomatic solution. She doesn't care about power games of other siths, unless they directly involve her as a target.
